Copy Filtered Data in Excel

Spreadsheet (Credit: GNOME icon artists)

Excel has a wonderful filtering feature to show only relevant data to your current need from a large list of records. Unfortunately when you try to copy or print the filtered list, you usually end up seeing the entire unfiltered record set.

There is a solution to this problem built-in called “copy visible cells only” but it is not obvious and I find myself looking it up every time I need it. Here’s a little note-to-self so I can find this frequently needed Excel solution more easily.
